Registration is open for Fall Season and our new apparel sale is live!
At STYS, our top priority is creating a safe, fun, and positive environment where kids can grow, compete, and love the game of soccer. As we kick off another exciting season, let’s make sure we’re taking the right steps to protect our players.
💇♂️ Long Hair & Vision Safety
Soccer is all about focus, agility, and quick decisions. Long hair should be tied back to keep it out of players’ faces, ensuring clear vision and full attention on the game.
✔️ Soft, stretchy headbands are allowed, but they must not contain metal or hard plastic.
💍 Jewelry – Small Items, Big Risks
We know jewelry can be meaningful, but on the soccer field, it can pose a serious safety hazard to players and teammates.
❌ No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or earrings during games or practice.
❌ If ears are newly pierced and earrings cannot be removed, they must be taped.
❌ No extra hair ties or rubber bands on wrists—they count as jewelry!
Why Does This Matter?
These rules aren’t just policies—they’re protection. A loose necklace, an exposed earring, or a wristband can lead to accidental injuries. Our goal is to keep every player safe, focused, and ready to play their best.
⚠️ If a player is found wearing jewelry or has their hair unsecured, they will not be allowed to play until corrected.
If you have any questions, please reach out to a Safety Team Member or Board Member.
Thank you for being part of the STYS family and helping us make this season one to remember!
