Volunteering

Southern Tioga Youth Soccer (STYS)  is self-funded and run by volunteers. As an organization, we wouldn’t be successful without the support of those willing to step-up and help out. Our income comes from registration fees, fundraisers, the concession stand, and sponsorships. Our expenses include uniforms, equipment, utilities, taxes & insurance, and field maintenance. So it comes to our parents, board and volunteers to put in the effort, like those in the past, to continue to raise funds for the club’s financial needs.

STYS is always in need of referees and coaches! If you have any experience or are interested in learning, we would love to welcome you to STYS! We love our volunteers! If you are interested in joining our leadership team, view open board roles on our About STYS page.

Clearances as well as a commitment of your time is required. Coaches and volunteers must attend all important meetings, practices, and assist in fundraising efforts. Clearances are free.

All volunteers must complete and submit the following clearances:

1. Act 24 - Arrest / Conviction Form

2. Act 34 – PA State Criminal History Clearance (free for volunteers)

1. • 1. • Choose “Submit a New Volunteer Record check”, then follow the instructions.

        • Results should appear on screen. Print out the “Invoice” with a copy of the State seal and submit to STYS. 

        • If the response is “Request Under Review or Pending”, you must periodically check back with the website until your request is processed. Your results will be mailed to you and may not be printed.

3.  Act 114 – Federal Background Check Clearance OR Sworn Affidavit ($22.60) 

   • • Register at https://uenroll.identogo.com or by calling 1-844-321-2101 8:00 AM – 6 PM). 

     • Use service code: 1KG6Y3

     • Select “Schedule an Appointment”, then follow the remaining instructions.

     • You will receive a receipt at the fingerprinting site. You must provide this receipt to STYS

4. Act 151 – Child Abuse Clearance (free for volunteers)

1. • 1. • Create Individual Account, click next

        • Provide the required information and click finish. You will immediately receive an email with a temporary password.

        • Go back to site and click login.

        • Provide STYS with these clearances prior to starting.
