As we kick off another exciting season of teamwork, growth, and soccer magic, let’s take a moment to focus on what truly matters—keeping our players safe every step of the way! ⚽💙
Whether it’s your child’s first season or they’ve been part of the STYS family for years, we all share one common goal: a safe and fun environment where every player can thrive! 🏆
Here’s a quick safety review for players, parents, and coaches to ensure we’re ready for an amazing and injury-free season!
📢 Uniforms Matter!
✔️ Game-issued uniforms must be the outermost layer during games.
✔️ Only STYS-issued socks are allowed—no substitutions.
✔️ Sweatshirts are okay for practice, but please avoid hoodies. If a hoodie must be worn, the hood and strings must be tucked in during games for safety.
👟 Cleats—The Right Footwear Saves Injuries!
✔️ Only soccer cleats are allowed—no toe cleats!
✔️ If a player arrives at practice or a game with toe cleats, they must change footwear or sit out. Safety always comes first.
💍 Long Hair & Jewelry—Less is More!
✔️ Long hair should be tied back for clear vision and safety.
✔️ Stretchy headbands are allowed (no hard or metal parts).
✔️ No jewelry during games or practices. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, and earrings must be removed.
✔️ New piercings? Tape them up for safety.
✔️ No extra hair ties on wrists.
🥅 Shin Guards—No Exceptions!
✔️ Shin guards must be worn properly during both practices and games.
✔️ If a player is missing shin guards, they cannot play until they are properly equipped.
👦👧 Leaving the Field with Your Player?
✔️ If you need to leave the field during a game or practice, please notify your child’s coach first.
🚑 Designated Safety & Medical Area—We’ve Got You Covered!
A few seasons ago, we introduced a Designated Safety & Medical Tent, and it’s been a game-changer! 🏥
✔️ Equipped with first aid supplies, an AED, and trained medical personnel.
✔️ Please do NOT go to the Snack Shack for medical needs (ice packs, bandages, etc.). The Safety Tent is there for all medical concerns.
🚨 If any safety violations are found, the player will not be allowed to participate until the issue is corrected. 🚨
STYS is more than just soccer—it’s a community, a family, and a place where kids build confidence, friendships, and lifelong skills. Let’s work together to make this season unforgettable and, most importantly, safe @everyoneur athletes! 💙⚽
